Starting the Work!

This spring we are starting our field work spearheaded by Michel Gagnon. Our team is working on the two homes of Effie Yazzie and Helen Salazar. Gagnon and the team started off with replacing the roofs with new materials. Vice President Pam Doverspike remarks, “The roofs were incredibly challenging. There were thousands of nails and scraps strewn about the roof, trying to keep it together. Helen’s roof was in such poor condition there were parts of it collapsing into the home.”

The sustainable metal roofing will ensure that residents can keep their homes insulated when heating, keep their homes cool, and keep the elements out of home.
